There are tons of tasks you have to do every day as an Internet marketer, I know. Been there, done that for 7 years. I don’t have a lot of time to work on my own business, but every single day, I’m locked into writing a blog post for my SEO Blog, and I send an email to my list — most days. Sometimes, I’m sending them to a blog post or sometimes, it’s a cool offer from someone I respect in this crazy online business world of ours.

But there are a lot of routine tasks that I do that aren’t quite so much fun. I mean, how many bookmarks can you do, or how many articles about the same topic can you write? For some blogging is a chore. Luckily, the writing for me is a breeze. I’ve been a professional writer for almost 21 years now, so it just flies off the tips of my fingers as I think it. But some folks just hate that, and they hate writing press releases and so on…

One thing that I’ve learned about writing is that it comes from your subconsious. So, what you’re struggling with in the front part of your brain might be blocking the writing, it’s just locked away. I know Josh posted his copywriting music last week, and that was pretty cool. So, I’m going to post my “writing in general” music, though everything we write really is copy, eh? I’m just not the copywriter. 🙂 I’m the regular writer. So, here’s some of the stuff I listen to:

INXS – Devil Inside

Placebo – Running Up That Hill

Florence and the Machine – Howl

Marina and the Diamonds – I Am Not a Robot

Finger Eleven – Paralyzer

Lady Gaga  & Beyonce – Telephone

Sissor Sisters – Don’t Feel Like Dancin’

The Killers – When You Were Young

Dido – Thank You

Coheed & Cambria – Welcome Home

So, there’s 10 for this week that will have your brian working in different ways as you listen in the background. Lots of mixed up material, but very cool. My tastes vary from the Beatles to Rob Zombie, so well… I’m a little different from most folks my age in that I have a 21-year-old. I’m exposed to much more music than your average Boomer.  My iPod has 15.1 hours of music on it and 232 songs and you’ll hear music coming from my desk at least 5 days a week. Ha!

But seriously, try some of these. You’ll love them or hate them, but they’re all good and you can let them play while working on the boring side of your online business whatever activity that might be for you.

Or not.

Your call.

Note to Boomers: Keep an open mind. A lot of this new stuff is amazing!
